“March 2018 – My wife, Peg, and I were introduced to Monique in August of 2013. We were looking for somebody who was disciplined, efficient and could produce on time; and who could work with my architect and my contractor. Monique fit all those criteria and was superb in all facets of our project. Once we began the process of integrating the interior design work with the finishing of the house, Monique was a real team player. Her attitude and schedule was flexible—she worked nights and weekends with her normal efficiency and alacrity. Monique took the extra steps and offered to come out at two different times of the day to see how the light affected the spaces. At the end of the project, she’d come on Sundays so that she wouldn’t get in the way of the workers during the week to finish the house so we could move in on time. This is all to say, she is very dedicated to her clients and takes great pride in her work to do it right, on time, and make the process as comfortable as it can be for her clients. In addition to her superb installation, when we had a couple of things that needed follow-on attention, she responded expeditiously to resolve them.
Finally, her budgetary skills were also excellent. We had heard the horror stories how interior designers can go way over budget, and you don’t find out until the project is completed. We had the opposite experience with Monique. She involved herself at the beginning when we were outlining the budget. She helped us match our desires with our budget, and she helped us make trade-offs that retained our vision of what we were trying to create without sacrificing quality. The end result is she came in slightly below budget; a testament to her knowing her business, and her managerial skills.
